Detail: EJIGBO - My naval friend was sight-seeing with his powerbike (400cc), a police constable accosted and arrested him saying he is disturbing the peace of the hood. Bro demanded 12k as bail (just like that), my friend kept mute. Yeah, he paid the 12k (happened in Ejigbo) and trailed the constable to his house in Abule-Egba. I do not know why he paid though, probably wanted to have fun. My friend (in the company of other ratings) went to said constables (who joined the force 5yrs ago) house, discovered he owns and just completed the said house probably with the proceeds (egunje) off illegal arrests (like that of my friend) and forced extortion. In a nutshell, the ratings drilled constable, extorted 50k (12k he collected and 38k inconvenience fee) from him.

Detail: IBADAN - Someone owes you money and you promised the police a certain percentage, you get to recoup d money faster. Is that egunje? Cos it happened to me in Ibadan recently, I had to give the policeman N5000 to help me recoup a debt of N50,000.

Detail: Agege was a very terrible place to live back then, Isokoko and Elere police stations were known for those devilish acts of picking people then! Its a very serious business then. I have a lot of experiences with those police raid rubbish, it was hell. You go dey waka your own jeje, danfo go pack beside you... If you no run or you dey unlucky den catch you, your people go pay! Isokoko and Elere were the two most useless police stations in Nigeria back then... Seems they had daily target!

Detail: OSHODI- Ever been picked up at random during a police raid and had to pay bribe to be released? My friend was! My friend after his SSCE exams decided to take a factory job to gather some money before going into the higher institution. He was on afternoon shift and that meant he was gonna close and get back home late... Another friend of his was going to Oshodi, he decided to see the guy to the point he was to take the bus going to oshodi... The guy going to Oshodi boarded whilemy friend was by the door gisting till the bus gets filled. When it was filled na den story change. Turned out that the bus was for some police officers on raid, my friend was asked to sit on his friends lap and they were taken to the station. Somehow he got words to us and we went to the station with his mum and dad... He was accused of wandering and we were asked to bail him. We parted with some cash and he was released .
