Detail: IJEBU-ODE -It is everywhere. My dad (retired doctor) was a victim like 8 years ago in Ijebu-Ode. He had a small clinic just to keep busy and police came to arrest him claiming someone came to report he treats armed robbers gun shot injuries. Produce the accuser, they claimed the letter was not signed by anyone. All this I heard from my dad after he had bailed himself out cos I would have gone ballistic. Till date, I dont smile or laugh with any police man. They stop me, I dont respond to their greetings. I just hand over my car papers .

Detail: ISOKOKO – I was a victim of ds police pick-up coming from Dunlop where I worked as a factory worker around 9:30pm. Isokoko straight. It was Operation Sweep back then. fortunately/unfortunately, I had just N20 and my ID in my pocket. I was picked around Guinness market and other guys were picked around Capitol and on the road to Isokoko. There was no mobile phone then, and I had already told folks at home, I was going for some overnight concert from work. We were marched into one old building behind d Isokoko police station and asked to remove our shirts. I was the youngest. They wrote our names and asked us to bail ourselves if we wanted to go home. Some guys paid, I offered my N20, SLAP! I showed them my ID, begged & cried, they didnt answer me. I was left with about 4 other guys. It was approaching 12AM Their Oga came around 12:15am reeking of alcohol and they told him we were the suspects they told him about earlier! Their Oga dished out another round of slap starting with the 1st guy in line, getting to my turn, I fell down before the SLAP. He looked at my skinny frame back then, asked me to get up & say what offence I committed. I told him none, showed my ID. He collected the N20 from me and asked me to go.
