I was presented with seeming impossibilities to get through without buying airtime for the concerned officials. I was although fortunate enough to go through two of the three without the airtime duly supplied, but the Nigerian at the other end would prefer untimely retirement than sign me out as the clearance process demanded. And so, I bought her airtime (egunje).

Honestly, if you really want to see more of our policemen collecting "egunje" please come to Afariogun Street, Oshodi as from 8pm. I have had to pay several times when I stay out late.
